Equip Cameroon
Our school partnership program — woven into the weekly timetable of 15+ secondary schools across Yaoundé, reaching more than 5,000 students since 2022.
How it works.
Equip Cameroon isn't an outside program parachuted in. Partner schools formally allocate a dedicated period in their weekly timetable for AFRILEAD facilitators to deliver structured leadership sessions on-site — mirroring exactly the scheduled, curriculum-aligned delivery model the U.S. Embassy Access Program uses.
Printed leadership manuals are produced and distributed free of charge to every participant — Beyond Success in English-language schools, Au-delà du Succès in French-language schools. Facilitator transport is covered by AFRILEAD.
By the numbers
- 15+ secondary schools across Yaoundé, Centre Region
- 5,000+ students reached since 2022 (ages 13–18)
- 5 core staff + 120 trained volunteer facilitators
- $24,000/year operating budget — self-funded
- Bilingual: Beyond Success (EN) & Au-delà du Succès (FR)
Why it matters for partners
Equip Cameroon already demonstrates the multi-site management, structured curriculum delivery, youth safeguarding and attendance discipline that large international programs require — at scale, and over multiple years.
